I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA
I’m really excited (and, if I’m honest, slightly terrified!) to share that I’m teaming up with five of My colleagues to take part in the annual 13 Bridges Challenge across London.
We are doing this to raise money for SSAFA, a fantastic charity that provides life-changing welfare and health support to UK military personnel, veterans, and their families.
This is going to be a massive personal challenge for me. I’ll be tackling the entire 10.5 Mile course in my wheelchair. Given that I’m not exactly at peak fitness right now, pushing myself across 13 London bridges is definitely going to test My arms! But it’s absolutely nothing compared to the challenges that our veterans face every day, which is exactly why I wanted to do this.
A little extra incentive...
To make things even more interesting, we've set a bit of a challenge. If I can raise at least £100 for SSAFA, both myself and my colleague Tiny Davis will each donate an additional £100 out of our own pockets to Shine.
Shine is the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Having lived with Spina Bifida since birth, this charity is incredibly close to my heart. They do amazing work supporting individuals and families, so I'd love to be able to trigger this extra donation for them.
If you have a few pounds to spare, any donation—no matter how small—would mean the world to me and the team. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this page would be a massive help.
